In 2007, child actor Jihoon made an appearance on 'KM Idol' where he had a crying battle with Big Bang.
Jihoon was inspired to become an idol by watching dance videos of BTS V. V remains Jihoon's role model to this day, the two have met on award stages and even exchanged numbers.
Jihoon was an idol trainee under SM Entertainment and Fantagio before eventually transferring to Maroo.
Jihoon was in Fantagio's iTeen trainee program, where he was training to debut as an eventual member of Astro but was unable due to a knee injury. A former Fantagio manager cast him at Maroo Entertainment because of his good dance skills.
In 2017, Jihoon participated in 'Produce 101' Season 2. He ranked #1 for five weeks straight and went on to finish #2 overall and debut as a member of Wanna One. He was also voted the #1 visual pick by the other contestants.
As a 'Produce 101' contestant, Jihoon went viral twice. First, as an ending fairy for the 'Pick Me' performance, he winked and got the nickname 'Winkboy'. The second time was for his self-made aegyo catchphrase "Save You in My Heart" which quickly made waves and was used for marketing by various brands including Coca-Cola and LG. The aegyo has been done by many celebrities and even the Blue House staff including former Presidential Secretary Lim Jongseok for a photo op.
"Save You in My Heart" was named the best buzzword/catchphrase by KOCCA in 2017. It is still regularly referenced on variety and tv shows to this day.
Jihoon went viral again in 2017 for an episode of Wanna One Go: Zero Base where he ate a package of Buldak spicy chicken ramen and had a bad reaction. The clip trended #1 on Naver TV and stayed in the Top 100 for weeks.

In 2018, Jihoon adopted his first dog, Max, after years of being unable to get his parents' permission to have one. Max regularly appears in Jihoon's lives and goes on schedule with him. He has even appeared on some of Jihoon's merchandise.
Jihoon says that the parent he resembles most (in personality) is his father.
The song 'Would You' from Jihoon's O'Clock album was written by BoA under the pen name Lovee
Jihoon got his first win as a soloist a week after his debut on KBS 'Music Bank'.
Jihoon has been called a filial son since he shared on an episode of 'Knowing Bros' that he bought a new car for his parents (in actuality, his parents swiped his card without his knowledge and he thought he got hacked).
Jihoon really enjoys driving and has obtained his Class 1 driver's license. He drives around frequently with his dad and Max and has driven with his friends on trips to Busan.
Jihoon loves to read and has regularly been spotted with theory and self-help books such as 'The Elegance of Words' and 'Good Casting'. He also reads drama/film scripts and mentioned one time he was reading 'Moonlight Drawn by Clouds'.
Jihoon's favorite book is 'The Miracles of Namiya General Store' by Higashino Keigo.

Jihoon was the first idol to appear on Jay Park's Broken GPS radio show.
Jihoon learned to play 'Chicken in the Corn' on the ukelele and the guitar serenade for his role as Gong Juyeong in 'Love Revolution'.
Jihoon has regularly been spotted playing the guitar as far back as old audition tapes and sometimes plays it on lives but it's unclear how deep his knowledge of the instrument goes.
As a kid, Jihoon went to the academy for taekwondo, kendo, and piano. He only got to the yellow belt in taekwondo before dropping out as he felt it didn't suit him. He dropped out of kendo and piano as well to focus on his primary love of acting.
Jihoon is a member of The Strongest Idols gaming crew with BTOB Eunkwang, BTS Jin, VIXX Ken, and their leader, BAP Youngjae.
Jihoon got known for his pro-level skills in PUBG at the '2020 Idol Star Athletics Championship' where he went on an 8 kill streak and carried his team to victory. He was given the new nickname of 'Park Jeojon' (a shortened form of the phrase [박]지훈[저]사람[존]경스럽게잘해 which means "Park Jihoon, the person who plays so damn good") by idol communities following the action.
Jihoon is also good at shooting guns in real life and has started going to shooting ranges.
Jihoon is pretty bad at cooking. His best dish is ramen. He tries though.
He's also pretty bad at arts and crafts. Again, he tries.
Jihoon likes to drink beer and soju but has a pretty low alcohol tolerance.
Recently, Jihoon has started playing hockey.
Jihoon is fascinated by the cosmos and extraterrestrial life. He believes in aliens and ghosts.

Jihoon wants to be a movie star and mentioned action as the genre he'd like to film.
If he had not gone into the entertainment business, Jihoon believes he would have either been a professional athlete or pro gamer.
